Governor Ahmed Aliyu of Sokoto State has asked the affected people of Gidan Risa and other communities in the state to accept their date as it’s destined by God.
Online Parrot News reported that the Nigerian military mistakenly bombed the Sokoto communities leading to the death of more than 10 persons and lost of livestock.
The military was reportedly running after the Lakurawa bandits when the dropped bomb on the communities. Similar incident happened in Kaduna State earlier this year.
In his reaction, the governor said that as Muslims the people need to accept what happened.
“Have you heard the news that some people have entered this country, and this isn’t the first time the soldiers have attacked them? They attacked the first time, the second time, and the third time, and each time, they were successful. So, this is considered destiny, and as Muslims, it’s good for us to accept destiny, whether it’s good or bad,” BBC quoted the governor as saying in Hausa.
