Amidst speculations that the northern region would work assiduously to take back federal power in 2027, the immediate past Senate President Ahmad Lawan has paid a visit to the former national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Abdullahi Adamu in Keffi, Nassarawa State.
Lawan was a presidential aspirant in the All Progressives Congress and he slugged it out for the ticket of the party with the backing of former President Muhammadu Buhari and the Adamu. They failed to defeat Tinubu in the primary election.
The alignment and re-alignment of the primary election made the Tinubu’s camp to work on the removal of Adamu as the chairman of the political party.
The former president of the Senate, who had denied working against Tinubu, posted photos from the visit with a caption on his Facebook page on Saturday. He didn’t disclose the purpose of the visit.
He merely described Adamu as “a technocrat, a seasoned politician, an astute elder statesman, a distinguished parliamentarian and educationist.”
Online Parrot News reported that a former Kano State Governor Rabiu Kwankwaso had paid a visit to former President Olusegun Obasanjo. He didn’t state the reason for the visit, but Donald Duke was in the closed door meeting. Obviously, it’s part of the scheme for the 2027 general elections.
Lawan said that he shared his “thoughts and ideas with me during my visit.”
