APC Will Claim All of Yoruba Land Including Osun and Oyo – Ganduje
The national chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Umar Ganduje has claimed that the party would win all the six states in the southwest geopolitical zone. The area is occupied predominantly by the Yoruba people. The party currently rules in 4 of the 6 states.
It has just renewed its presence in Ondo State with the empathic victory of Lucky Aiyedatiwa, who flew the flag of the party in the gubernatorial election. The party’s candidate beat his closest rival, Agboola Ajayi with a margin of 248,000 votes. The party won in all of the 18 local government areas of the state.
Mr. Ganduje was reacting to the victory of his party when he said that the next target of the party is the geopolitical zone.
“Our next target now is this geo-political zone, the Southwest geopolitical zone,” he said.
“You know we are good at hitting the target, that is Osun State and Oyo State. We assure you, we will do what is possible to bring them into the fold. So we have political homogeneity in the South-West Geopolitical zone,” he boasted.
