Edo Poll: We’re Committed to Free and Fair Election – INEC
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has given its assurance to conduct free and fair election in Edo State as the people of the south-south state prepare for the gubernatorial election in which they will elect Godwin Obaseki’s successor.
The electoral commission gave its pledge when Sam Olumekun, the INEC Commissioner for Information and Voter Education Committee (IVEC), was discussing with journalists in Edo State capital, Benin. He empathized the commitment of the commission to conduct a transparent and unbiased election for the people.
“INEC is committed to conducting free, fair, and credible governorship election in Edo State and we rely on your (journalists’) partnership to achieve this goal,” he said.
