IPOB Members Face 25 Years Jail Term & Fine

The lower chamber of the National Assembly, the House of Representatives has passed a bill which would enable the Federal Government to seriously crack down on secessionists including members of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), which Nnamdi Kanu leads.

The lawmakers have introduced the Counter Subversion Bill 2024 so as to tackle the issue of separation and other crimes related to secession.

Speaker Tajudeen Abass introduced the bill for. Top secessionists including Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of IPOB and Sunday Igboho can face serious penalty for once the bill becomes a law.
