PDP Begins Moves to Reconcile Aggrieved Members
The Peoples Democratic Party has started to reconcile the aggrieved members. The party has been thrown into tumult with the fallouts of the primary election it conducted for the presidential election.
The party has appointed Mr. Olagunsoye Oyinlola, a former governor of Osun State, who also dumped the PDP for the All Progressives Congress in the past. The party wants Oyinlola to head the reconcilation committee to settle all the internal wranglings of the party.
Debo Ologunagba, the National Publicity Secretary of the major opposition party, released a statement on Friday to announce the decision of the National Working Committee of the PDP to reconcile all the aggrieved members.
“Following the National Executive Committee (NEC) approval for the constitution of the PDP National Reconciliation Committee (NRC) of our great party, the National Working Committee (NWC) hereby releases the list of the members of the National Reconciliation Committee.”
The reconciliation committee as follows: Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola – Chairman, Rt. Hon. Chibudom Nwuche- Member, Alh. Bello Tafidan Gusau- Member, High. Chief Sen. Ben Ndi Obi, CON(BOT)- Member, Sen. Tunde Ogbeha- Member, Sen. Shuaibu Isa Lau – Member, Dame Dr. Esther Uduehi (BOT)- Member, Sen. Zainab Kure (BOT)- Member, Kabiru Tanimu Turaki, SAN (BOT)- Member, Alhaja Mutia Olayinka Ladoja (BOT)-“
Online Parrot News understands that the former governor, who is heading the committee contributed to the crisis rocking the PDP in Osun State. He was backing Dotun Babayemi for the gubernatorial election in the state in 2022. Ademola Adeleke went on to be the authentic candidate and he won the governorship election, beating the then incumbent Adegboyega Oyetola.
Dotun Babayemi along with his followers has joined the All Progressives Congress just as Olagunsoye Oyinlola did when crisis broke out in the party.
“The NWC charges all leaders, critical stakeholders and teeming members of the PDP to remain focused and committed to the vision, principles and aspiration of our great Party in the overall interest of the growth, development and stability of the PDP and the nation,” Debo Ologunagba added.
