Activist & Lawyer Adeyanju Writes Army Chief over Protest
A popular Abuja-based lawyer and human rights activist Adeyanju Deji has written to the Chief of Army Staff informing the military boss about the protest scheduled to start on 1 August across the country.
The Inspector General of Police Kayode Egbetokun Nigeria Police Force has already given his nod to the peaceful protests.
The lawyer wants the Chief of Army Staff General Taoreed Lagbaja restrict the soldiers to the barracks. He added that it is the responsibility of the police to protect lives and properties of the people of the country.
He reminded the Chief of the roles that soldiers played in the events of the #EndSARS protests in which several lives were lost at Lekki Area of Lagos State.
