EFCC, Agencies Working on Arresting Yahaya Bello from Kogi Govt. House
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission along with other security agencies are working on arresting the immediate past Kogi State governor Yahaya Bello, who is hibernating in the state government house, Lokoja.
EFCC wants to try the former governor for fraud to the tune of N80bn. The commission has got evidence including receipts of school fees Bello paid in dollars for his children, who are attending an Abuja school. He has denied wrongdoings.
Bello has been frustrating the efforts of the EFCC to prosecute him. Kemi Pinheiro (SAN), counsel to the commission told the court on Wednesday that the prosecution on its part would make the necessary arrangement to bring the former governor to court.
