Multiple Death as Gunmen Attack Benue Community
A yet-to-be-ascertained number of people have been gruesomely killed when some unknown gunmen launched an attack on Benue community. The north central state is one of the most volatile often attacked by armed herdsmen.
The armed men attacked Borikyo in Ukum Local Government Area of Benue State on Wednesday. The armed men succeeded in killing several people and set ablaze a number of houses.
The local government secretariat was also burnt by the assailants who went on their rampage for hours unhindered.
Apart from killing the people and setting their homes on fire, the gunmen also attacked the residence of the chief of staff to the governor, Paul Biam in Zaki Biam area of the state.
