Patience Jonathan Reacts To Wike-Fubara Feud
A former First Lady of the nation, Patience Jonathan has reacted to the ongoing feud between the Rivers State Governor Simi Fubara and his “benefactor” Nyesom Wike.
She has pleaded with the two sides of the crisis and asked them to sheathe their swords and give peace and tranquility a chance.
Mrs. Jonathan, who has always called for peaceful resolution of conflicts, urged the two men to let peace reign.
Despite the intervention of President Bola Tinubu, both Simi Fubara and Nyesom Wike are at loggerheads. The former keeps undoing Wike’s works while the former governor himself is using his loyalists to unsettle the state.
Jonathan said: “We at this point plead that election has come and gone, and now is the time for governance.
“As a peace advocate, I will like to call on the waring parties in Rivers State, to shield their sword and give peace a chance.
“Knowing fully that no development can take place in an atmosphere of chaos. As a political office holder, remember that power is transient and it will end someday.
“Therefore, holding onto power after expiration of your tenure is an invitation to violence and anarchy.”
