Hamas Accepts US-sponsored Ceasefire Deal With Israel

Palestinan Hamas has agreed to the proposal for a ceasefire in Gaza, which United States President Joe Biden prepared as part of Washington’s efforts to end the hostilities between the resistance group and Israel.

The United Nations has also unanimously approved the deal which a spokesperson for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Tel Aviv would grudgingly accept because it’s not perfect.

On Tuesday, Hamas gave its nod to the deal. Reuters was quoting a top Hamas official, Samk Abu Zhuri as saying that the fighters are committed to a deal that seeks an end to the bombardment.

Online Parrot News reported that Israel was able to rescue four of the hostages that the fighters captured on 7 October. In the process of rescuing the Israeli citizens, more than 200 Palestinans, mainly civilians lost their lives.
