Deposed Emir Ado Bayero Returns to Kano
In a shocking move, the deposed Emir of Kano, Aminu Ado Bayero has returned to Kano city following his dethronement, which Online Parrot News reported on Thursday.
The Kano State House of Assembly repealed the law which broke the emirate into five and ultimately removed Sanusi Lamido Sanusi II from the throne in 2020 when Umar Ganduje was the governor of the northern state.
On Friday (yesterday), Abba Yusuf, the incumbent governor presented a letter of appointment to the former Central Bank Governor Lamido sealing his reinstatement as the emir of the ancient city.
It’s not yet clear the motive of Ado Bayero. When Sanusi was deposed in 2020 to pave the way for Bayero, he totally left Kano and didn’t return until his reinstatement.
