Tinubu to watch Super Eagles vs Elephants of Cote D’Ivoire
Nigerian President Bola Tinubu will be on ground to cheer on the Nigerian Super Eagles as they slug it out with Elephants of Cote D’Ivoire in the final of the Africa Cup of Nations.
The national team of the country sailed through on Wednesday when they beat Bafana Bafana of South Africa in the semifinals of the competition.
The president of the Confederation of African Football Federations, CAF, Patrice Motsepe, has made this known in a press conference ahead of the match.
The CAF President said, “Nigeria must put in a bid. The Nigerian president (Bola Tinubu) is coming to watch the final on Sunday. I will have a conversation with him about it.”
Vice President Kashim Shettima was at the stadium along with other top Nigerians including Ogun State governor Dapo Abiodun for the semifinal game.
