American Pastors Ask Biden To Call For Ceasefire In Gaza
Moe than one thousand (1,000) pastors in the United States of America have called on President Joe Biden to ask Israel declare a ceasefire in Gaza and stop the assault on the densely populated strip.
Israel has been attacking Gaza Strip since October 7 after the Hamas fighters stormed southern Israel to kill more than one thousand including children and women. Israel says its operations in Gaza are aimed at rooting out the Palestinian group.
“Black faith leaders are extremely disappointed in the Biden administration on this issue,” said the Rev. Timothy McDonald, the senior pastor of First Iconium Baptist Church in Atlanta, which boasts more than 1,500 members.
The United States has been under pressure to rein in Israel even though Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has said that his country and military won’t take instructions from any of their allies.
