APC leaders keep condemning ex president Buhari
It’s really amazing that less than 1 year Muhammadu Buhari left power, leaders of his own All Progressives Congress started condemning and exposing his weaknesses. He was the first presidential candidate of the political party, which has now ruled the country for 8 years.
He ensured he handed over to another person from his party perhaps to avoid being exposed by the opposition party, the PDP or the LP, if it comes to power. But his integrity is waning and it seems nobody out there would be ready to defend the same man the whole APC adored.
Mr. Wale Edun, the finance minister, who is directly responsible to Bola Tinubu, the APC candidate in the last general elections, said that the current administration inherited a dead economy. He openly criticised the government of Muhammadu Buhari without mincing words.
Bola Tinubu was not available to stop his minister from whitewashing and condemning his predecessor. The opposition party, the Peoples Democratic Party has not gone that far to criticise the former leader of the country.
Mr. Ali Ndume, one of the longest serving senators, has also come out to drag the former president in the mud. Ndume said that the Buhari was not in charge for the period of 8 years and that he failed to perform the supervisory roles he was supposed to.
The top senator from Borno State talked to Channels Television after the incumbent President Bola Tinubu submitted his first budget to the National Assembly.
“The President here is in charge. He takes charge, unlike our former President. That President will just give you an assignment, he will not look over you.”
“That is where the problem is and he (Buhari) knows that. That was the mistake President Buhari made. He ended up confessing these days that he had more kleptocrats in his government that people that has more interest at heart.”
