APC’s Ododo maintains lead in 11 LGAs

The candidate of the All Progressives Congress in the Saturday’s governorship election in Kogi State, Usman Ahmed Ododo is leading in at least 11 local government areas of the state.
The Independent National Electoral Commission has so far declared results of 17 local government areas in which he has won 11.
The electoral commission has so far announced the results for Adavi, Ajaokuta, Ankpa, Bassa, Dekina, Idah, Ijumu, Kabba-Bunu, Kogi, Mopamuro, Ofu, Okehi, Okene, Olamaboro, Omala, Yagba East and Yagba West.
Social Democratic Party candidate Murtala Ajaka is trailing behind Ododo, who has got 417,166 votes as against Ajaka’s 208,503 votes.
A former senator from Kogi West Senatorial District Dino Melaye is in the distant third with paltry 41,925 votes.
Ododo has won in Adavi, Ajaokuta, Bassa, Ijumu, Kabba-Bunu, Kogi, Mopamuro, Ogori Magongo, Okehi, Okene, and Yagba West local government areas.
