INEC confirms pre-recorded result sheets which favour APC in Kogi State
The Independent National Electoral Commission has confirmed that there were pre-recorded results sheets in some polling units for the ongoing gubernatorial election in Kogi State.
Online Parrot News has reported that the INEC adhoc staff brought sheets with results on them in no fewer than three polling units in Ogori Magongo Local Government Area and Okehi Local Government Area of the state.
The results favoured the All Progressives Congress prompting the PDP, its candidate Dino Melaye and supporters to protest.
INEC has reacted to the ugly development. It says, , “Our attention has been drawn to a report that filled result sheets were discovered in some polling units in Kogi State.
“The Commission views this situation seriously. Our senior officials deployed to the State are currently investigating the incident(s). The Commission will communicate its decision earnestly.”
