Supreme Court judgement is the beginning of my political journey – Peter Obi
The candidate of the Labour Party in the 2023 general elections, Mr. Peter Obi has said that the verdict of the apex court is not the end of his political career, but in fact the beginning.
The presidential candidate had earlier went to the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal to challenge the results of the election, which Bola Tinubu won. The tribunal dismissed his petition and confirmed that Tinubu won the poll.
Obi was not pleased with the judgement of the tribunal, he then headed to the apex court. The Supreme Court argued that the appeal of the ex Anambra State governor lacked merit and therefore it was struck out.
In a press conference today, Peter Obi told his teeming followers that it was not the end of the journey as he would press further in his struggle.
The presidential hopeful said, “I want to assure them that this is not the end of our journey but in fact the beginning. Nigerians heard you, the world has taken note and we will not forget easily. We shall endure, persist until we reach our destination because new Nigeria is our destination. A destination is not an event.”
