Akpabio-led Senate approves more loan requests for Tinubu
The upper chamber of the National Assembly (Senate) under ex governor Godswill Akpabio has approved more loan requests for the administration of Bola Tinubu.
Nigeria has both domestic and foreign debts to service. Yet the Akpabio-led Senate has given its nod to Bola Tinubu to take loans up to $7.8billion and €100million.
Lots of debts are hanging on the neck of the oil rich but impoverished country. The president made the request in a letter he forwarded to Godswill Akpabio’s Senate on Wednesday.
The Senate President read the letter to the senators. Online Parrot News reported on Tuesday that the president presented a supplementary budget to the tune of N2.18 trillion naira to the same Senate for approval.
