Imo Guber Poll: APC Warns Abia Governor Alex Otti
The All Progressives Congress has sternly warned the Abia State Governor Alex Otti ahead of the gubernatorial election in Imo State.
The warning is coming as all political parties are preparing for the election in which the incumbent Hope Uzodinma is seeking another term in office.
The All Progressives Congress (APC )explains that the Abia State governor is ready to bring in members of the Labour Party to Imo State purposely for the election.
A chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Audu Shuaibu, who talked in a forum in Abuja on Wednesday addressed the Abia State governor in absentia. He said it’s the duty of the party to talk or speak truth to power.
Shuaibu said, “It is our duty to speak truth to power and we shall continue to do so until sanity is restored to all levels of governance in Nigeria. It is necessary to draw the attention of Nigerians towards the activities of the Abia State Governor, Alex Otti, who is set to invade Imo State with some members of the Labour Party for the Imo State gubernatorial elections.”
The chieftain of the APC revealed that Alex Otti intended to sponsor violence in the poll and that would make voters to run for dear lives and pave the way for the supporters of the Labour Party and its candidate.
He added, “How can a newly elected governor who is yet to acclimatize himself with his office openly declare that the workaholic governor of Imo State should prepare his handover note? We are using this medium to tell Otti that Governor Hope will only hand-over to himself and not the Labour Party”.
