What next for Atiku after his victory over Tinubu at American court?

The question above should be what one should ask the ex vice president of the country, Alhaji Abubakar Atiku. What does he even intend to achieve with what he pursued in the United States of America.

The court has asked the Chicago State University to release all records and information pertaining to the academic of President Bola Tinubu, whom Atiku ran against in the 2023 general elections.

In Nigeria, the former vice president is challenging the victory of Tinubu at the Supreme Court after he lost at the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal early last month.

The tribunal affirmed that the president was duly and validly elected. But Atiku is still convinced that the winner was not qualified to be on the ballot papers let alone to win the poll. He has asked the apex court to overrule the court below and declare him winner.

The supreme court will not likely listen to a fresh matter as far as the petition is concerned. The ex vice president will surely attempt to drop new evidence he will get from the Chicago State University at the Supreme Court.

Could it be useful? Most of the time, the Supreme Court aligns with the decisions of the Court of Appeal, whose judges actually sat on the matter. It’s not feasible to see Bola Tinubu losing his seat to Atiku through the judiciary.

What then does Atiku intend to achieve? He may be planning for the 2027 general elections. If that’s the case, and plan, does it mean Atiku would run for the presidency on the same platform for three times in a row?

The intent of the PDP’s presidential candidate isn’t immediately clear. He’s keeping his cards to his breast. The victory at the American court would be meaningful only if Alhaji Abubakar Atiku gets the information he actually looks forward to.

The insinuation is that Tinubu himself didn’t attend the school and that he engaged in impersonation. The president made some attempts to stop the release of the information to the public. Definitely, he was up to something, and that’s what Atiku Abubakar intends to unravel and make use of.
