NLC Strike: Total Blackout Looms As Electricity Employees Set to Join
There will be a total blackout in the country once the #NLCStrike commences next week. The National Union of Electricity Employees has directed its members throughout the federation to join the industrial action.
The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC )and the Trade Union Congress have both threatened to shut down the country over unresolved issues with the federal government.
Nigerians will have to be without electricity for the time the industrial action lasts. The union passed the information to its members through a circular with reference NUEE/NS/2023/194 and dated 28 September, 2023.
The Electricity Employees union asked its members to withdraw the services from 3 October. It also encouraged its state chapter leaders to mobilize its members for the action.
