Some workers in the Federal Ministry of Works have staged a protest at the ministry in Abuja. The workers didn’t make a demand, they demonstrated because the Minister ordered they be locked out of the ministry for coming late to work.
According to Sahara Reporters, the workers blocked entry to the ministry hence stopping the minister Dave Umahi from leaving the office.
The workers also accused the former Ebonyi State Governor of violating some rules and regulations.
A unionist in the ministry said, the minister “stopped engineers and directors from doing their work, and has been breaking public service rules since his appointment, by bringing in consultants to run the affairs of the ministry.”
