Crisis starts fully in Ondo after deputy reportedly resigns
The crisis that seems to brew in Ondo State has fully started following a purported viral letter that the deputy governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa has resigned.
Mr. Lucky Aiyedatiwa was acting as governor of the southwest state while the governor, Rotimi Akeredolu was receiving treatment in Germany. Since he returned to the country, there have been issues from the two sides.
Barely few days after his return, the governor disbanded the media crew of the governor and ordered the ministry of information to be in charge of the information of the deputy governor.
As if that’s not enough, a letter went viral on Friday that the Ondo deputy governor had resigned from his post as the governor.
In a statement personally signed by the deputy governor, he made it known that the general public and the Ondo State House of Assembly should disregard the letter in circulation.
Mr. Rotimi Akeredolu has a history of poor relationship with deputy governor. He ensured that the last deputy governor was impeached by the Ondo State House of Assembly.
