G-20: What Tinubu says as he meets India’s PM Modi

The Nigerian president is one of the key world leaders who have gather at New Delhi for the G-20 summit. The president, Bola Tinubu, has assured Nigerians that he would woo investors to the country using the platform of the summit.

He left the country on Tuesday with top business moguls in the country. Tinubu, while talking on his verified Facebook page, appreciated the Indian Prime Minister, Narenda Modi for hosting the summit and for inviting the Nigerian president.

He said, “Deep appreciation to Prime Minister @narendramodi for hosting the G20 summit in India and for the invitation.”

Bola Tinubu, whose victory in the presidential election was confirmed by the petition tribunal on Wednesday, has taken some drastic and “courageous ” steps on economy ahead of the G-20 summit.

The ex Lagos State governor said he looked forward to meeting fellow world leaders so as to forge strong alliances and secure a brighter future for Nigeria.

The Facebook post added, “As the President of the most populous black nation on earth, I look forward to meeting fellow world leaders and forging strong alliances to secure a brighter future for our great nation, Nigeria – and indeed, the entire African continent.”
