RCCG Pastor Laoye begins traditional rites as Soun of Ogbomosho
The new Soun of Ogbomosho, Ghandi Laoye, a pastor at the Redeemed Christian Church of God, has started performing the traditional rites in the town.
Until his appointment as the traditional ruler of Ogbomosho land, Ghandi Laoye was a pastor of the church in Washington DC, the United States of America. He was glad to receive the appointment after his nomination has been confirmed by the state governor Seyi Makinde.
He arrived at Ogbomosho yesterday in a chopper, which landed in a public secondary school in the town. Ghandi Laoye’s appointment also followed the demise of the ex Soun of Ogbomosho, Oba Jimoh Oyewumi almost two years ago.
Few days ago, Laoye stepped down as a pastor and handed over to Pastor Olumide Ogunjuyigbe on the instruction of the RCCG General Overseer, Pastor Enoch Adeboye.
