FUOYE’s female student’s death: police arrest & detain 10
The Ekiti State Police Command has arrested and detained 10 persons over the death of a female student of the Federal University, Oye-Ekiti, Ekiti State.
The death of Miss Modupe Deborah shocked both the university community and the internet yesterday. Her dead body was discovered in a shallow grave behind the faculty of health sciences, where she’s a 200-level student.
The Online Parrot News learned that Deborah went to read at night and was later missing. Her dead body was found in the shallow grave.
The command’s Public Relations Officer DSP Abutu Sunday revealed the development on X, formerly known as Twitter on Thursday. He said that the police would bring the perpetrators to justice.
The police imagemaker said, While appealing to everyone to be calm, the commissioner vows that the command will do everything possible to unearth the identity of the perpetrators and ensure they are made to face the full wrath of the law”.
The command also called on anyone who has useful information to concerning the incident to visit the Oye Divisional Police Headquarters, Oye-Ekiti.
The DSP further stated, “Meanwhile, the body of the deceased has been deposited in the morgue while 10 suspects are currently in custody undergoing investigation “.
