Presidential Election Tribunal: Why Tinubu is sure of victory

The Presidential Election Petition Tribunal will deliver the verdicts on Wednesday barring all unforseen circumstances. The Court of Appeal has released the date for the judgement delivery through the Chief Registrar Umar M. Bangari.

The winner of the election, Bola Tinubu seems far more confident of victory in the judgement. The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared him as the winner of the poll. He beat his closest rivals Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi, who came second and third respectively.

While the first two runner-ups have kept quiet, Bola Tinubu seems unflinched as he continues the business of governance. The president has left the country for an important meeting in New Delhi, India.

A matter that involves his fate should be so concerning that he will look forward to Wednesday, 6 September when the court of appeal settles the matters. The Labour Party and its candidate Peter Obi, Alhaji Abubakar Atiku and PDP are challenging Tinubu’s victory at the court.

He is now in India for the G-20 summit. It’s a group of 20 powerful countries in the world including the United States of America, the United Kingdom, France, China, Russia among others. Tinubu plans to woo investors into the country.

Bola Tinubu must have got information that the court of appeal would deliver verdicts in the matter. But the confidence he has in his victory won’t let him cringe or look perturbed.
