PDP Loses Cross River State for the first time ever
The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has lost the south-south Cross River State for the very first time ever.
The PDP’s candidate, Mr. Onor polled 179,636 votes far behind the winner of the election, Mr. Bassey Otu, who has 258,619 votes to emerge.
The PDP has been ruling the state since 1999. But the incumbent governor, Mr. Ben Ayade defected from the party to the APC in early 2021 to the shock of the political party.
