Frenkie De Jong talks about future in Barca
The Dutch player resisted all forms of transfer into Manchester United last summer. All entreaties made by both his current club Barcelona FC and Manchester United failed.
He insisted that he would play for the Catalonian. Reports said that he rejected the Red Devils because of their failure to play in the UEFA Champions League.
Meanwhile, Barcelona FC couldn’t make it to the knockouts of the tournament. They met Manchester United in the playoffs of the UEFA Europa League and the English side cruised past the Spanish giants.
While confirming that he wouldn’t leave the club, Frenkie De Jong said, “I’m very calm here, very happy at Barca and I want to stay at Barcelona for many more years”.
