Peter Obi subtly attacks Tinubu
Former Anambra State governor Peter Obi has subtly attacked Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the APC candidate for the office of the president of Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Mr. Peter Obi, who also eyes the seat of the president, said that it’s the turn of Nigerians to become president. This is a subtle attack on Bola Ahmed Tinubu who has said that it’s his turn to become president.
Before the primary election of the All Progressives Congress, Tinubu had an outburst in Ogun State. He lampooned the president, Muhammadu Buhari, for not supporting him for the APC ticket. He claimed in Yoruba language that he should be the next president.
His emotional outburst, borne out of frustration, gave birth to lots of slogans including “emi lokan” and derogatory remark, “o lule”.
But Obi has claimed that it is not anyone’s turn to become the president. Rather it’s the turn of Nigerians themselves to lead the country.
Peter Obi said that it’s Nigerians who should decide who leads them. He said that democracy belongs to the people and he will further commits himself to democracy if he wins the election.
