How Atiku reacts to CBN deadline differently from Tinubu

Now Abubakar Atiku reacts to CBN deadline differently from Bola Tinubu even though they both have same dream of succeeding Buhari.

The former vice president Atiku Abubakar demands CBN extend its deadline which it sets for 31 January. Upon all criticisms and uproar this particular deadline has generated, the apex bank has firmly said that the deadline would stand.

Atiku, who is currently running for the office of the president on the platform of the People’s Democratic Party said that lots of Nigerians are not comfortable with the arrangements that the bank has put in place.

According to the Punch Newspaper, the candidate of the PDP posted his own view on his verified social media platforms. He specifically urged the Federal Government under President Muhammadu Buhari to be magnanimous enough to extend the deadline.

He said, “It will be magnanimous for the Federal Government and the regulatory body to ease the burden of the people while we can continue to sensitize them on the imperative of mobile banking policy “.

The candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Mr. Bola Tinubu, had earlier reacted to the deadline in a rather violent means. Even it was believed that he attacked the president when he talked in Ogun State only some few days ago.

Atiku agreed that there is nothing new in redesigning the currency as it’s a global practice. The ex president Atiku reacts to CBN directive in a rather more brilliant manner.

The ambitious politician further said to convince the presidency and the Central Bank of Nigeria, “it’s important for the CBN to consider and extension for the public to swap their old notes thereby reducing the financial consequences on these vulnerable citizens…”

Bola Tinubu seems to be concerned about his ambition. While talking vociferously in Ogun State, the ex Lagos state governor said he would still win even if the apex bank adds ink to the notes.

The candidate of the APC has not identified himself with the plight of the people. Nigerians have formed endless lines to withdraw from the ATM and the banks. They are under the scorching sun to get the cash, which is invariably not available.

How Atiku reacts to CBN deadline differently may be one of the key things Nigerian voters will consider when they vote on 25 February.
