How Frank Lampard Has Failed As Coach
Former Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard has failed as coach. The Everton governing board has decided to part ways with the ex English international after a woeful performance in charge of the team.
The last straw that broke the camel’s back was the defeat against another struggler, West Ham on Saturday. The hammers put up a good fight to beat Lampard’s men. The defeat actually annoyed the management of the team.
Under Frank Lampard, Everton has lost nine games in twelve Premier League games. The team is struggling at the bottom of the log with relegation staring at them.
Lampard had initially lost his job at Chelsea. He enjoyed some privileges at the London club. But the honeymoon didn’t last as the club had to relieve him of his appointment when the club was only lagging behind.
Few months later, Everton appointed him and it looked the team would improve considering some experience Lampard must have got at Chelsea. His performance would rather grow worse.
At this moment, Everton is above only Southampton with just goal differences. He did actually help Everton to escape relegation in January, 2022. He took over from Rafa Benitez
There was a report after the West Ham’s defeat that a fight ensued between a top player and Frank Lampard. The former Chelsea player led his side to hold Manchester City to a draw. The result ought to have boosted his morale and brought more good performance.
The team’s performance would rather nosedive. Brighton humiliated Frank Lampard’s Everton 4 -1 and Manchester United beat them 3 – 1 in the English FA cup. It was becoming clearer that Lampard had run out of ideas when relegating team Southampton beat him also in the English Premier League.
The legendary midfielder, Frank Lampard has failed to improve his career in coaching.
