The US is helping Ukraine in the fight going on in Eastern Europe region. The restless region is boiling as a result of the battle between Russia and Ukraine.
The Russian leader, Mr. Vladimir Putin, has announced that Russian forces would embark on a special military operation in Ukraine. Since that time, a full battle had started.
The President of United States, Mr. Joe Biden, has written off the chance of taking part in the conflict. He recently withdrew American forces from Afghanistan.
He doesn’t want America to be stuck in another endless crisis. Hence, he removes a confrontation with Ukraine from the table. Yet the US is helping Ukraine. The United States under Joe Biden has shown solidarity.
The most recent step taken by Biden, and of course the US, is to ban the Russian crude oil and gas. It is true that Europe relies heavily on Russian oil and gas.
But Mr. Biden has announced that he has had a wide range of consultations with allies. He said the decision became necessary to curb Russia.
The reactions of the United States have not included direct confrontation. But the White House has ensured that the Russian economy is battered.
The US has imposed severer sanctions on Russia and removed the biggest country from the SWIFT payment platform. Prior to the invasion, Joe Biden had warned Vladimir Putin severely.
The White House has also expelled 12 Russian diplomats from the United Nations. The American government accused them of espionage.
It is most certain that millions of people from across the world expect the United States to confront Russia. There won’t be any basis for the USA to fight Russia at all.
Ukraine is not yet a member of the military alliance of North Atlantic Treaty Organization. Hence, the article 5 of the NATO can’t be used to defend Ukraine.
The United States has tried as much as possible to create a media conspiracy against Moscow. The campaign has been so rigorous. And the USA has rallied the West to back Ukraine.
The United Nations General Assembly met last Wednesday. It discussed the conflict between Russia and Ukraine. And member states voted. Surprisingly, 141 voted to condemn Russian activities in Ukraine.
