Ukrainian President Zelensky may lose his job. Indications have shown that Vladimir Putin is angry with his alignment with the West.
With the look of things, the Kremlin isn’t happy with the government of Zelensky. The Ukrainian president has made moves to join the North Atlantic Treaty Organization and the European Union. This provokes Russia.
The Russian president Vladimir Putin has asked the Ukrainian soldiers to remove president Zelensky from power. But that was not the original objective set by the Kremlin.
Russia doesn’t want NATO forces close to its borders. It fears the presence of the Western forces. Hence, it opposed Ukrainian plans to join NATO and EU.
Now that Russian forces are attacking Ukraine from south, north and east, it is apparent that the target is the capital city, Kyiv. And that hosts the president.
Russian President Vladimir Putin will prefer a Ukrainian leader who tilts towards Kremlin and opposes the west. Hence, he won’t hesitate to back a pro-Russian government in Kyiv.
And in order to do that, Ukrainian President Zelensky may lose his job. He has not appeared ruffled although he regularly addresses his nation.
He has also subtly blamed the European Union for inadequacies in actions.
He said that the east European country would sign nonalignment deal. But the Russian president may not succumb. He may end up usurping the Ukrainian President Zelensky.
The president doesn’t have a clear-cut plan to stop the invasion of the country. There is no specific resistance to the surging Russian forces.
Ukrainian regions of Donbas and Crimea are under Russia. This can actually trigger uprising again the apparently clueless Ukrainian President.
He may not be able to withstand Ukrainians protests to his Government. The eventuality of it all is that Zelensky may unavoidably lose his job as the president of the country.
