Governor Adegboyega Oyetola is in early lead as results of the primary election are trickling in one after the other. The ongoing Osun APC primary election will produce the gubernatorial candidate.
The state governor is seeking another mandate from the people of the state. The result from Ward 2 in Ayedire South LCDA show that Mr. Adegboyega Oyetola polled 371 votes to beat his closest rival, Mr. Moshood Adeoti.
The former SSG scored paltry 19 votes while the former deputy speaker, Lasun Yussuf couldn’t record a single vote.
Mr. Oyetola also won in ward 3 of Ifelodun local government area of the statement. He scored 1,052 votes as against Moshood Adeoti’s 20 votes in the keenly contested election.
In Ward 8 of Ede North local government area, Mr. Adegboyega Oyetola also recorded convincing victory. He garnered 805 votes from the area.
The Osun APC primary allows all members of the party to cast their votes in the open balloting.
