Over 400 Protesters Appear in Court in Kano State
The Nigerian Government has dragged more than four hundred protesters to court in Kano State. The Kano State Police Command has arrested more than 600 protesters who were violent during the #EndBadGovernance protest in the northwestern state.
The protest, which lasted for 10 days as planned by the conveners, turned violent in Kano State. The protesters torched government buildings, looted facilities and even went on to damage government properties.
Sahara Reporters said that it got details that show 172 protesters were arraigned before a Senior Magistrate Court No. 54 Nomansland, Kano, which was presided over by His Worship Ibrahim Abubakar Mansur.
Another 149 protesters were arraigned before a Senior Magistrate Court No. 52 Koki, Kano, presided over by His Worship Muttaka Abba Dandago.
While 120 others were arraigned before Senior Magistrate Court No. 33 Gyadi-Gyadi, Kano, which was presided over by His Worship Hadiza Rabi’u Bello.
