One question that begs for an answer is: who is afraid of Bola Tinubu? This question is begging for at least an answer. The 2023 presidency is now a very serious debate and this question has come up.
It is true that Tinubu has show interest in the job of controlling the affairs of the country. He is determined to taking over from his longtime ally, President Muhammadu Buhari.
It is normal for every ambitious Nigerian to aspire to lead the federation of over 200 million people. However, what is not clear is that who is that politician that is afraid of Bola Tinubu?
Since he declared his own bid, topics and debates about him fill the newspapers and electronic media. He appears conspicuously on all platforms. And while praises and supports are rolling in for him, condemnations and criticisms are high.
There is hardly a day without a reference to him. Whereas he is just a presidential hopeful. He has not yet got the APC ticket to run for the 2023 presidency. Then, who is afraid of Bola Tinubu precisely?
The PDP aspirants have apparently maintained silence over the struggle of the former Lagos State governor. They keep mum while minding their own business. Are they scared of the Tinubu’s emergence?
Then, if the PDP’s hopefuls don’t mind what happens to Bola Tinubu, could it be that his fellow colleagues in the APC are afraid of him? On what basis will that fear be? The contest and primary election will be open. Or have they accepted defeat?
There doesn’t appear to be resistance from within the party against the former Lagos governor’s struggle or quest for the presidency. Could it be that the Nigerian populace are afraid of him?
Of course, the age and health of Tinubu have come to the discussion. People do ceaselessly make reference to his fragile health. He travelled to London after three weeks of rapid consultations.
Are Nigerians afraid of his emergence and possibility of having a replica of Muhammadu Buhari who often travels out? If not, who is then afraid of Bola Tinubu?
